Adrian’s Story:
On Monday Nov 5th 2012, our good friend, musician Adrian Bond suffered a heart attack and cardiac arrest at his home in Annapolis, MD. His girlfriend, Telesma vocalist Joanne Juskus, performed CPR until the medics arrived to take him to the hospital. On route, they were able to get Adrian’s pulse back and he was even breathing on his own. Upon arrival he was immediatedly intubated and started hypothermia protocol, the same treatment used on Telesma’s Ian Hesford last April after his cardiac arrest. (The treatment aims to protect brain function associated with the loss of oxygen to the brain in cardiac arrest.) Over the next week Adrian fought his way back, and upon being extubated, he regained full consciousness with no apparent brain damage — another miracle for our Telesma family. Adrian was found to have two blocked arteries requiring angioplasty to install two stents. His second chance at life has been inspiring to all of us, and though he has a long road ahead and some life changes to be made to return him to good health, the Telesma family, friends and fans are rallying behind him to make sure he’s with us for a long time to come. Please help Adrian by making a donation to his trust fund to assist with his medical expenses. Any donation, large or small, is greatly appreciated.
