The new Telesma DVD “Hearing Visions Live” has just been released! The concert video was filmed at the very first visionary solstice gathering event in 2008 which featured visionary artists Alex Grey and Allyson Grey painting onstage with Telesma. The DVD will be available at all shows and online soon.

Join us on Sat. June 19th for our DVD release/screening event at the Senator Theatre. This event will be a visual extraviganza with VJs, performance artists, body painting with Divine Gypsy Designs, and featuring the premier of the Telesma concert video in 5.1 surround sound! Also, featuring music by DJ Neil Kurland and The Trifect, and more TBA. The event is also a fundraiser for the CoSM Art Sanctuary and The Senator Theatre, we’ll be donating 50% of proceeds to each of these organizations. $10 door. 8pm music begins! www.senator.com

Baltimore’s “Visionary Solstice Gathering” finally arrives after being posted due to the blizzard.  The show features a special 2 hour live painting performance by world renowned artists, ALEX GREY and wife ALLYSON GREY to the trans-formative psychedelic rock music of TELESMA. Fans will be able to see the paintings as they unfold in person and simulcast on large projection screens. All three of the venues rooms will feature interactive visual performances from live body painting and hooping highlighted by a one of a kind ultra-violet performance art of ARCHEDREAM FOR HUMANKIND. This is psychedelic rock like it hasn’t been seen in ages. Combining traditional tribal instruments with new-age electronic sounds, this music is an unstoppable force. Listening to the high-pitched screaming of the guitar is like the longest orgasm you’ve ever had, and it comes in a thousand different melodies. They played a number of songs from their 2007 album, O(h)M, as well as a handful of jams and unreleased goodies. There are the faster-paced sounds of “Penumbra,” heavy with drums and bass. “Amor Fati” is great funkadelic rock, wrought with the sounds of a mouth harp, and ethereal chanting. The new live album is now available! “Hearing Visions: Live” was recorded on Dec 20, 2008 at Sonar in Baltimore, during the “Winter Solstice Visionary Gathering”.  This very special night featured renowned visionary artists Allyson & Alex Grey painting onstage with Telesma during their 2hr set. The album features new songs, improvisations, and songs from our “O(h)M” album. Album art by Jeremy Opio.

Telesma is planning to follow up the new album “Hearing visions: Live” with a full length DVD video of the same  show in 5.1 suround  sound later this year!! You can check out a live clip of Telesma performing the “Spectacles”  improv  (track 7 from the new  album)  as it happened that night on the top of our video page.   The DVD will also  include new songs from the show that are not on the album. Stay tuned  for more details. Also Telesma is planning to get back in the studio this winter for another full length studio album to be released next spring.
